About This Course: Welcome to Public Speaking! This course will help you become a more confident, effective speaker. You will learn how to prepare and deliver powerful words that connect you emotionally with your audience. Our topics include empathy, argument structure, and tone. We’ll see how speakers overcome stage fright (everyone has it!) through simple preparation and a few performance tricks. We’ll even talk about two special forms of public speaking: TED Talks and webinars. By the end you will be better able to convey your ideas to an audience of any size, so that you and your listeners are all happy to have shared the experience.
